Happy Tails Alpaca Farm is a small farm located east of Columbus, Ohio in the suburb of Blacklick. We have found that being around these gentle creatures is such a relaxing experience. Watching the antics of alpacas, especially crias, brings a smile to every face. Thus, we knew from the very beginning that our farm name would have to include the word happy!

Our goal since starting our farm in April 2006 has been to breed quality alpacas with color; outstanding density, crimp and fineness; and correct confirmation. Our goals formed the basis for the selection of our foundation herd and the purposeful selection of superior breedings for our dames and maidens.

We would love for you to visit our new farm which is open for farm visits by appointment. We enjoy meeting new people as well as seeing old friends and sharing our experiences with this unique business opportunity. We enjoy talking about all things alpaca and answering questions and introducing you to our animals.

We are a full service farm and strongly believe that the best way to succeed in this business is through mentoring. Using the concepts that we learned from our mentors, we will work hard to make sure that new owners understand the key aspects of taking care of their alpacas. We will provide information on business planning, farm layout, basic herd health care and pasture maintenance and provide for hands on learning experiences including feeding, trimming toe nails, giving shots, weighing animals, body scoring, and last but not least - scooping beans! Your success is our success and we consider it an honor to pass on any help we can to our costumers.

Please feel free to schedule a visit. We would enjoy meeting people just thinking about alpacas, other new alpaca farmers and breeders like ourselves, as well as the veteran farmer / breeder who always have some tidbit of knowledge to pass along. Our animals look forward to your visit.
